Australia’s Federal Group installs KISS Casino Management System
Dec 17, 2007
International Casino Services (ICS) are pleased to announce that the KISS Casino Information Software System has recently been installed in the Federal Group’s Wrest Point Casino at Hobart, and the Country Club Casino, Launceston in Tasmania.
Federal Group owns and operates tourism and gambling businesses throughout Tasmania and is the largest private casino and gaming company in Australia.
The flagship Wrest Point opened in 1973, and is Australia’s oldest casino. The recently renovated property houses 26 table games and over 700 gaming machines, in addition to offering extensive Conference Centre facilities, a vast selection of dining options, and 269 superbly appointed rooms.
The Country Club Casino features the casino with 15 table games and over 500 gaming machines, and a range of accommodation and dining selections, conference facilities and an 18-hole golf course.
“Managing the logistics across both properties, I found ICS to be extremely supportive, very flexible and reliable. They tailored the training to our diverse schedule and were available around the clock to provide hands on help to novice users. The system was simple to set-up and easy to learn.” said Mark Davies, Gaming Manager, Country Club Tasmania.
The installation, configuration and training process took place over a two week period in the latter part of September, 2007.
As a Tasmanian Gaming Commission condition, the software was required to pass strict testing by an approved testing facility, which was carried out by BMM Testlabs. In addition, International Casino Services completed probity requirements to be listed on the 'Roll of Recognised Manufacturers and Suppliers of Gaming Equipment'.
“The KISS package was developed for casino and gambling operations such as the Federal Group, with a strong focus on security and highly efficient chip movement control, table gaming reporting, soft count administration, surveillance and cash desk modules,” explained Mr Brian Colwell, Director of Operations, International Casino Services.
Other features of the proprietary KISS software system include junket commission reporting, non negotiable transactions, player tracking and collection of personal details, cheque cashing, credit control and foreign currency module plus a compilation of a wide variety of audit trails and management reports.
KISS has been exclusively available through ICS since 1991, with the product having undergone a major upgrade to incorporate touch-screen technology and RFID chip reading devices.
“Operators such as the Federal Group see the benefit in the KISS casino management system’s simplicity, flexibility and affordability,” said Mr Colwell.
